The City of Water...

Venice is sometimes referred to as the city of water. This is definitely a fitting name, especially following the events of last Monday. Heavy flooding (rain and wind) has led to water levels rising 1.5m higher than average, and immersing 70% of the city! 
Flooding is common in Venice, but this one reached the 6th highest water level since 1872. 200 people had to be evacuated from Tuscany also.
